Having this acrylic CO2 laser cutting machine and laser engraving machine, you can increase you productivity and free your hands with daily cutting, it is a fully CNC controlled machine. Which does not requires much attention to look after the operation.
When performing acrylic CO2 laser cutting and engraving, we need to selection the best suitable types of acrylic sheets. There are two types of acrylic sheet.
Extruded Acrylic Sheets
Extruded acrylic is the best choice when we performed acrylic CO2 laser cuttting machine. Extruded acrylic is formed through a higher-volume manufacturing technique, it is less expensive than cast acrylic, and it reacts differently with the laser beam. Extruded acrylic will obtain a clear and smooth cut. The cutting edge will obtain a flame-polished after the CO2 acrylic laser cut. But when it is CO2 engraved, instead of a frosted appearance it will obtain a clear engraved acrylic.
Cast Acrylic Sheets
Cast acrylic is an ideal choice for acrylic CO2 laser engraving machine. As cast acrylic turns frosty white color after engraved. Cast acrylic can be also used for CO2 laser cutting machine, however, it will not obtain a flame-polished edges. Thus, it really depends on your need and want.

Interesting Facts of Acrylic CO2 Laser Cutter
How thick Redsail acrylic CO2 laser cutting machine cut?
Frankly speaking, this really depends on the wattage of your CO2 laser cutter. A 50 or 60 Watts CO2 acrylic laser machine will allows you to cut thorugh 3/8" of acrylic. A 75 or 120 Watts acrylic laser cutter, you can cut through 1/2" to 3/4 with two passes.
Speed & Power
When performing acrylic CO2 laser cutting, it is recommended to operate the acrylic CO2 laser cutting machine at the low speed, but high power. Due to the CO2 laser light will melt the acrylic sheet, thus with a rather slower speed it can avoid the extruded acrylic cutting edge to stick together. Futhermore, with a higher power it will support the acrylic CO2 laser cutting machine to cut through the extruded acrylic sheets.
On the other hand, performing acrylic CO2 laser engraving machine is totally opposite the CO2 acrylic laser engraving machine should be running at a high speed, while the power should be lower than CO2 laser cutting machine.
